Radford Falls to Campbell on Senior Night

RADFORD, Va. – Two second half goals proved to be the difference maker in the Radford men's soccer team's final regular season game. The Highlanders fell to Campbell, 3-1, on Saturday night at Cupp Stadium.

Radford scored the first goal in the 26' when Octavio Ocampo scored on a penalty kick. It could've been a different story but a couple of good saves early on by Trevor Kallendorf kept it scoreless.

Campbell took eight shots in the first half and one eventually found the back of the net. Tyler Young scored the first goal after it bounced around of a couple of Campbell players and the game was tied at the break.

Eight minutes into the second half Sami Charaf Amal fired a shot that hit off a Radford defender and went right into the goal. The tough-luck goal put Radford behind, 2-1.

Looking for a comeback, Radford took five shots and a few good looks in the second half but was never able to convert. The Camels score their final goal in the 83' as Caraf Amal scored again for his second of the game.

Baye Djibril Faye led with three shots and Pape Oumar Gueye, who played his final game at Cupp Stadium, took two shots with one on goal. Kallendorf played a full 90 minutes with five saves.
