RADFORD, Va. – Frank West has been tabbed as the new Director of the Highlander Club, Radford Director of Athletics Robert Lineburg announced Tuesday morning.
West, a 2015 graduate of Radford University, joins the athletics department after working in the Radford University Alumni Relations office for the last five years.
"Frank West is a Highlander through and through," said Lineburg. "He loves Radford University and Radford Athletics. Frank's passion for our teams will be a great asset as he takes on this new role. He has developed many important relationships over the last number of years which will serve him well. We are excited for Frank to join our department."
"I would like to thank Robert Lineburg and Cory Durand for selecting me for this tremendous opportunity with Radford Athletics," said West. "Since my time as a student, my love and passion for Highlander Athletics has only grown, and I am excited to officially join the team! The Highlander fan base is strong, and I look forward to working with all of the various members of the Radford University Community."

He gained immense experience in event planning by putting together annual alumni chapter golf tournaments in the National Capital Region and Richmond, helping raise over $50,000 in scholarship support.
West also partnered with colleagues across campus in academic programs, admissions, student programs, career services, and athletics to match alumni volunteer interests and passions with the goals and needs of the university. He has played a crucial role in the success of Alumni Relations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, leading efforts to host events and webinars over Zoom.
Central to that effort was a Virtual Homecoming Weekend which saw 2,200 participant registrations representing 32 states and 12 countries. West developed and executed countless comprehensive communication and outreach plans that utilized social media, email, physical mailings, and more.
Prior to that, West worked his way up from Development Coordinator to Coordinator for Alumni Engagement. As an undergraduate student, he was a student manager for the Radford Baseball program all four years and then stayed involved as a sports marketing intern and the Volunteer Director of Baseball Operations.
Alongside his Bachelor of Business Administration, West has a SAS Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics from Radford University which he earned in April of 2021.
He currently resides in Christiansburg with his wife, Danielle, and their newborn son, Matthew.
