Highlanders Finish Strong At Lady Pirate Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, N.C. – With a third-round 305, the Radford Women's Golf team put together its best day of the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate and finished the tournament strong.

Coming off a challenging first day, freshman Caleigh Street regrouped and impressed with a +3 in the third round to move up five spots on the leaderboard. The Jewell Ridge, Va. native made three birdies on the day to end her trip at 23-over par, good for T-39th.Â

It was Niki Batac and Riko Nagai who had the best overall tournament performances however, each placing T-32nd with a +19.Â

Batac consistently hit for par on Tuesday, a day which was highlighted by a birdie on the Par 3, 137-yard 3rdhole. Nagai's day was somewhat similar, with a birdie coming on the Par 5, 475-yard 13th hole.

Natalie Welsh and Kaitlyn Mosdell matched Street's +23 for the tournament, joining her in a tie for 39th as well. The duo each notched two birdies in the third round to make a slight jump up the leaderboard.

Host squad East Carolina took the title at +19 while ECU's Oda Sofie Kilsti (-4) used her familiarity of the Greenville Country Club to win the individual title as the only golfer to shoot under par over all three rounds.
