BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Radford men's golf team finished 2-under par to tie for 7
th at the Elon Phoenix Invitational after a solid third round performance on Tuesday.
Bryce Corbett led the way with a third-place finish at 10-under par.
The Highlanders shot 287-277-286 over two days in Burlington, but fell three spots in the standings on the final day against a really challenging field. Three out of five golfers repping the red and white shot even or under par in the round.
Corbett closed out another strong showing with an even 71 in the final round. He carded four more birdies to bring his total for the tournament to 17. The junior was excellent on Par 5's tying for the best score of anyone in the 100-golfer field with a -9 on those holes.
Nicholas Taliaferro closed his account with a -1 on Tuesday, moving up a spot into a tie for 21st at -2 overall. He shot -6 on Par 5's and even on Par 3's, parlaying his success there into another top-25 finish.
Giving Radford three golfers in the top-35 was
Nathan Piatt, who also shot even on the day to bring his three-round total to 1-over par. He finished strong, birdieing his final two holes of the tournament.
Bobby Dudeck (T-70th, +10) and
Channing Blevins (T-72nd, +11) rounded out the scoring with a +3 and +4 on the final day, respectively.

The 2022 fall season comes to a close when the Highlanders travel to Norfolk for Old Dominion's ODU-OBX Invitational. The tournament will take place between Sunday, Oct. 23 and Tuesday, Oct. 25 and be played at the Kilmarlic Golf Club.
