GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Radford men's basketball team played dominated on the boards en route to a 62-53 victory over North Carolina A&T at the Corbett Center on Saturday night.
With the win, Radford (11-17, 7-9 Big South) clinches the No. 8 seed in the 2022 Hercules Tires Big South Championship and will have a rematch with No. 9 N.C. A&T (11-19, 6-10 Big South) at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte on Wednesday, March 2 at 11:30 a.m.
The Highlanders straight up out-hustled the Aggies all night, recording a season-high 47 rebounds to just 34 for the hosts. Nineteen of those boards came on the offensive end, matching a season high.
Senior forward
Chyree Walker had his best game of the season, posting nine points of 4-of-6 shooting and a season-high 13 rebounds. Junior forward
Rashun Williams continued his strong run of play with 15 points and five rebounds.
Senior guard
Josiah Jeffers drew a team-high six fouls on his way to 12 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals while both
Bryan Hart and
Artese Stapleton notched two steals apiece.
North Carolina A&T was led by Marcus Watson, who scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds despite a 6-for-17 day shooting the ball. Tyler Maye joined him in double figures with 10 points.

- Radford pulled down 13 offensive rebounds in the first half alone. The team has recorded 13 boards on the offensive end – in the entire game – just four times this season
- N.C. A&T turned the ball over 17 times, leading to 23 Highlander points
- The Highlanders also bossed the Aggies around in the post, scoring 34 of their 62 points around the rim
- The Aggies were held to 35.3% (18-51) from the field and 26.3% (5-19) from beyond the arc
