Men’s Tennis Cruises By North Carolina A&T

RADFORD, Va. – Radford (3-4) picked up their second Big South victory of the season in strong fashion Saturday afternoon, defeating North Carolina A&T 6-1.

In doubles play Radford was able to take a 1-0 lead with wins on courts one and two. Demis Taramonlis and Andres Silva teamed up for a 6-2 win while Guilherme Severin and Konstantinos Raptis clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 victory.

In singles play the Highlanders were able to take all but one court to get their 6-1 win. Aditya Balsekar was the first to finish with on court five winning 6-1, 6-2. Silva continued his strong start to the year with a 6-2, 6-1 win on court two. Reigning Big South Freshman of the Week Robert Hagen clinched on court six for Radford, winning 6-1, 6-0. Raptis also won 6-2, 6-3 on court four while Taramonlis picked up the last win of the day on the top court winning 6-2, 6-2.
