Radford Falls at Coastal Carolina

CONWAY, S.C. – Radford (8-5) lost to Coastal Carolina Sunday afternoon 0-0 in their final stop of their long spring break trip.

The doubles point was tightly contested as it came down to a tiebreaker on court three. Radford was able to take court one thanks to Demis Taramonlis and Andres Silva winning 7-5. Aditya Balsekar and Robert Hagen had multiple match points but came up short 6(7)-7.

Coastal Carolina was able to clinch the match in their favor by winning three straight singles courts. All but one court went three sets, however, in a tight match. Silva was victorious for Radford on court three with an incredible battle. Silva won the tiebreaker in the first set 15-13 and went on to win 7-6(13), 4-6, 6-3.

Balsekar was the other victorious Highlander on court five coming back to win 6-1, 7-6(5), 6-2 to give Radford its second point of the match.
