Women's Golf Takes 4th At Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – In one of the most closely contested tournaments of the year, Radford women's golf placed fourth out of 13 teams at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate.

The Highlanders looked great on both days in Tennessee, shooting 305 on Monday and 307 on Tuesday. Findlay took the top spot at +25, but second through seventh were separated by only six strokes.

The fourth-place finish marks Radford's best performance of the year and their best since taking fourth at the 2021 Golfweek Spring Invitational.

Natalie Welsh once again led the way with a +5 (76) in the second round, ending the tournament tied for 10th out of 78 golfers. She carded three more birdies to bring her total for the week up to seven.

True freshman Caleigh Street was stellar in her first action of the spring, finishing tied for 17th at +11. She dropped a few spots in a challenging second round, but will be a strong contender for Big South Freshman of the Week.

Jayde Dudley is playing with confidence as of late, following up a strong showing last week with a 78-76—154 (+12) at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. She tied for 21st on the individual leaderboard, nearly giving Radford three players in the top-20.

Riko Nagai had one of the best stretches of golf out of any Highlander in the tournament, sinking birdies on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th holes of the second round. She finishes tied for 32nd at +15.

In yet another positive development, Jimenna Ramirez climbed 10 spots up the leaderboard thanks to a second round 77. She ends the tourney tied for 36th at +16.
