Ekanem to Join Highlanders for 2022-23 Season

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford Women's Tennis program announced Thrusday afternoon the addition of Rachel Ekanem who will join the team for next year's 2022-23 season.
Ekanem currently ranks second in the state of West Virginia and has an impressive resume dating from her high school freshman to junior year. Ekanem was seeded at number one for her varsity tennis team.
During her junior season she went undefeated, winning the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference title in both singles and doubles. She was also most valuable player for all three years and nominated Girls Tennis Player of the Year for USA Today, representing West Virginia.
"Rachel has enormous potential and a solid foundation built around her serve and forehand," commented Director of Tennis Rob Bareford. "She also brings unique value being a lefty."
