
Women’s Tennis Sweeps Sacred Heart

ORLANDO, Fla. – Radford (7-5) picked up a 7-0 sweep over Sacred Heart Tuesday afternoon. The team's originally scheduled second game against SIUE was cancelled due to rain.
Match One
In the first match of the day the Highlanders swept Sacred Heart 7-0 with strong victories all around. The tone was set in doubles play where Radford clinched the 1-0 lead thanks to a pair of dominant wins. Melissa Ifidzhen and Priscilla Stojanovska finished first with a 6-0 shut down on court three. Salma Loudili and Malin Falk were also quick in their 6-1 dispatching on court one.
In singles play Radford took all six courts with a handful of tiebreaker wins. Camryn McClure was the first to finish 6-4, 6-1 on court six and Loudili gave Radford the 3-0 lead with a 6-3, 6-3 win on court one.
Emily Brandow clinched once again for Radford on court four winning 6-0, 6-2. All three remaining courts went to the Highlanders, two of which occurred in third set tiebreakers. Ameek Batth had a strong 6-2, 6-2 win on court five while Ifidzhen made a comeback on court two to win 3-6, 6-1, 1-0(6). Falk was the final victorious Highlander, holding on to win 6-0, 5-7, 1-0(6).
Both Falk's and Loudili's wins were huge milestones. Loudili's win was her 31st of her young career moving her into the program career top-ten list while Falk's tenured run as a Highlander continues to impress as she moves into the program career top-five with her 53rd singles win.
