Courteau and El Natour Join Highlanders for 2023 Season

RADFORD, VA. – The Radford men's tennis program welcomes two new additions to the program for the upcoming 2023 season. The duo of new Highlanders are Eastern Illinois transfer Charles Courteau and freshman Mustapha El Natour.

Charles Courteau

Transfers from Eastern Illinois where he spent the last two seasons
Played in 24 matches during the 2021-22 spring season
Posted a 7-12 singles record in his sophomore campaign, second-most wins on Eastern Illinois
Played across the No. 2, 3, and 4 courts during the season
Primarily played at No. 4 singles with a 5-4 record overall and 1-1 record in Ohio Valley play
Was named the OVC singles palyer of the week on March 8th after his performance against Xavier and Dayton
Had five matches go three sets and posted a 3-2 record in those contests
At No. 1 doubles posted a 4-10 record for Eastern Illinois

Mustapha El Natour

Is currently on the Davis Cup Team for Lebanon as an alternate
Winner of two out of three men's tournaments participated in 2022 (Delb and Rimal)
Was the runner-up in Ralph Abi Karam
Career high ranking of 837 ITF
Practiced with the Dutch tennis club (KNLTP) in the Netherlands
Runner-up ITF singles in Amman, Jordan
Winner at the ITF doubles in Amman, Jordan
Quarterfinalist at ITF in Belgium, Hasselt
