Mundkowsky Makes Debut In Loss At High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Big South play officially began as the Radford women's volleyball team fell, 3-0, to High Point inside the Millis Center on Friday night.

The Highlanders move to 1-9 (0-1 Big South) on the season while the Panthers improve to 7-6 overall (1-0 Big South).

The hosts took control of the match early and never let go, racing towards a 25-15 win in the first set. Radford had nine kills and a pair of blocks, but eight errors compared to just one for HPU was its undoing.

Radford's scoreline looked similar in the second set as the Panthers used two service aces and a trio of blocks to put up 13 kills to only two errors, while the Highlanders' -.029 hitting percentage limited any potential damage.

It was a stronger start to the third set for Coach Livingston's squad, a took a 4-3 lead and continued to battle towards a tie at nine apiece. It was then that the Panthers began to pull away one last time, going on an 11-4 run before a timeout was called.

HPU closed out the game with a 25-18 win in the third and final set.
