2025 INDOOR SCHEDULE
RADFORD, Va. – With the start of the regular season just days away, the Radford women's track & field program has announced its 2025 indoor schedule on Tuesday.
The Highlanders have a jam-packed slate with nine indoor meets this season, which concludes with the Big South Championships in late February.
The special thing about the schedule is that even though Radford does not host any home meets, the eight regular season competitions are all within 100 miles of campus, highlighted by four trips just down the road to Virginia Tech.
"We are looking forward to a more competitive schedule this season," director of track & field
Shelli Sayers said. "Thankfully, we do not have to travel too far from home, which is ideal for both our student-athletes and parents and fans looking to attend our meets."
"We have a young but very talented team," Sayers added. "We are looking forward to having all of our groups together in January to really see just how competitive we are going to be as a squad this season."
The season gets underway early with a trip to Lynchburg, Virginia for the Liberty Kickoff that runs Thursday, December 5 through Friday, December 6 at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex. The meet will serve as a rust-buster for the Highlanders, who will then go their separate ways after finals for winter break.
Radford won't wait long to get back in action as the calendar flips to January with four meets on the docket. The squad gets the month started with the VMI Team Challenge (January 11), followed by the Virginia Tech Invitational (January 17-18), the Hokie Invitational (January 24-25) and the VMI Winter Relays (January 31–February 1).
February is just as busy with the Doc Hale Virginia Tech Meet (February 7-8), Liberty's Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (February 14-February 15) and the regular-season finale at the Virginia Tech Challenge (February 21-22).
It is then championship season for the Highlanders with the 2025 Big South Indoor Championships set for Friday, February 28 through Saturday, March 1 at the Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex in Columbia, South Carolina.
