Severin Earns Top-Court Win in Loss at Longwood

FARMVILLE, Va. – The Radford men's tennis program fell 6-1 to Longwood in their conference opener Wednesday afternoon despite a strong singles win from Guilherme Severin.
Radford fell on two of three doubles courts to Longwood but did get a victory from the duo of Charles Courteau and Robert Hagen who won 6-3 in court two. In singles, Severin had the lone win as he won in straight sets on court one 6-1, 7-5.
A pair of courts did go to three sets such as Tom Saporta on court two and Courteau on court four, but the Lancers took five singles courts for their 6-1 final.
The Highlanders return to their home court for a former Big South foe this weekend in Campbell. The two squads meet as nonconference opponents for the first time in over a decade on Saturday, March 16th.
