Men’s Tennis Cruises Over Salem on International Students Day

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford men's tennis program cruised over Salem Monday afternoon in a 4-0 victory on the program's inaugural international students day.

In doubles action the Highlanders were quickly able to take a 1-0 lead. Robert Hagen and Filippo Marangoni on court two were able to win swiftly 6-0 while Guilherme Severin and Charles Courteau clinched with a 6-2 decision on court one. The duo of Dominik Wijntjes and Evan Edwards were up 5-2 before going unfinished.

In singles the Highlanders were similarly dominant for the eventual 4-0 final. Courteau got Radford up 2-0 with his 6-1, 6-2 win on court three. Tom Saporta put the Highlanders within one of clinching with his strong 6-1, 6-1 win on court two. It was Dominik Wijntjes who clinched for the Highlanders with his 6-3, 6-2 win on court six.

The Highlanders return to conference play this upcoming Wednesday, March 27th when they visit Gardner-Webb.
