Women’s Tennis Falls in Match at Liberty

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Radford women's tennis program fell in a match to a tough #71 Liberty squad Friday afternoon 4-0.
Liberty wound up taking the doubles point despite a few close matches. The duos of Julia Abrams and Emily Brandow as well as Ameek Batth and Lexi Smolder were both tied up halfway through their matches before each fell 6-3.
To clinch the match, Liberty would take matches on singles courts four, five and six. When play went unfinished, Abrams was tied in the second set of her match on court one while Brandow was battling up 3-2 in her second set.
The Highlanders return to Big South action this upcoming Wednesday, April 3rd when they make a visit to Gardner-Webb.
