HIGH POINT, N.C. – Radford men's basketball fell 77-62 to the top-seed and tournament hosts High Point in their quarterfinal contest on Friday afternoon.

Chandler Turner led the way in points for Radford, ending the game with 19 points.
Justin Archer was quick to earn double digit scoring in the first half to give the Highlanders the lead at half, earning his second double-double during the tournament.
The Highlanders started the game hot after winning the opening tip.
DaQuan Smith hit the ground running and put down the first three points. Archer lengthened the lead to five with his first basket of the game.
Kenyon Giles hit a three to put the Highlanders up by 10 during the team's 6-0 run. High Point tried to shorten the lead but
Chandler Turner put his name in the mix to give the team a 20-8 lead.
From there, High Point slowly chipped away at the Highlanders lead to eventually take their first lead with free throw opportunities. However, Turner was not ready to let the lead slip and hit a three. Once again High Point retaliated, until a jumper by
Trenton Walters put Radford back on top. A jumper from Giles secured a 36-34 lead at half.
The Panthers hit the ground running in the second making three buckets. Turner made the next four points for the Highlanders. However, the Panthers used their size to their advantage and took over the game by 13 points. A key steal from
D'Auntray Pierce led to a three from Turner to put the game back to a single digit lead.
Bryan Antoine followed with a jumper in the paint to set the contest at 46-52.
Radford shined from the line during the second half using every chance they could to pull ahead. The last made shot came from Radford's Giles as both teams made multiple substitutions.
David Vidor came off the bench and immediately swatted a ball away and followed with a rebound to hold off the panthers. The game ended 77-62 to conclude the 2023-24 season for the Highlanders.
