Highlanders Fall in Friday Match at Elon

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford men's tennis program fell to Elon Friday afternoon in a 6-1 final score with Guilherme Severin's singles win highlight the match.

In doubles play, the Highlanders were clipped with the Phoenix taking courts two and three for the early 1-0 advantage. Guilherme Severin and Charles Courteau were up 4-3 before going unfinished in their battle on the top flight.

In singles play, the Phoenix would take wins on courts two through six for the eventual 6-1 final. On court one, it was the senior Severin who came back with a big effort to take his match on the top flight 5-7, 7-6(4), 1-0(5).

The Highlanders make their final road visit of the season this Sunday, April 14th when they take on nationally ranked Wake Forest.
