Maddie Bailey Tabbed as Director of the Highlander Club

RADFORD, Va. – Maddie Bailey has been tabbed as the new Director of the Highlander Club, Radford Athletics announced Friday morning.
Bailey joins the Highlanders after spending the last year as Coordinator of Student Athlete Engagement with Virginia Tech's women's basketball program.
"We are excited to add Maddie to the Highlander Club staff," commented Deputy Athletics Director Cory Durand. "Maddie brings a wealth of experience and has demonstrated the ability to build relationships and communicate the positive impact of financial support for student-athletes."
"I am thrilled to have accepted this position," said Bailey. "I look forward to working with Radford Athletics and getting to know all the staff and donors. The Highlander fan base is unmatched and I look forward to working with everyone in the Radford community!"
While working with Virginia Tech's women's basketball program, Bailey worked closely with donors and court side participants as well as help put on events such as the end of yar banquet, welcome back social, alumni weekend and recruiting tailgates. Bailey helped oversee multiple team trips including visits to Greece, the Cayman Island, Bahamas, NCAA Tournament and Final Four.
Sticking to working in collegiate athletics in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Bailey also served as the social media lead and Student Director of Operations for the Longwood baseball team. There she supervised media relations, student success, traveled with the team and coordinated all meals. Bailey graduated in 2022 from Longwood with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a concentration in public relations.
Before her time in southwest Virginia, she also spent time as a member services coordinator with Atlantic Coast Athletic Club as well as an assistant to the general manager for the Charlottesville TomSox.
