Radford Athletics Communications and Creative Media Team Set for 2025-26 Season

RADFORD, Va. – Radford Athletics announced Wednesday morning that the department has promoted Greg Wolfe to Assistant Athletic Director, Strategic Communications while hiring Collin Perry and Matthew Maldonado as Communications Coordinators for the 2025-26 season. Additionally, Brian Yohe remains as the department's Director of Video and Creative Services.
 
Leading the Communications and Creative media team is Wolfe, who was promoted into his new role of Assistant Athletic Director, Strategic Communications this summer. The Spotsylvania, Va. native joined Radford full-time prior to the 2021-22 season as a Communications Coordinator and had previously spent four years as an assistant and intern with the department prior to that. Wolfe graduated from Radford University in 2021 with his degree in Communications.
 
Wolfe will serve as the primary contact for the men's basketball, volleyball, softball and women's golf programs at Radford while overseeing the department's website RadfordAthletics.com and creative efforts across Radford's 36 social media accounts across Instagram, Facebook and X. During his tenure at Radford, Wolfe has helped develop the department's graphic identity while also overseeing content creation, creative video, and game day statistics intern programs. Over eight seasons, Wolfe has helped with the coverage, promotion and campaigning for four NCAA Tournament trips, three Big South Regular Season Championships, four Big South Tournament Championships, and 21 Conference Player of the Year and Coach of the Year Awards.
 
Perry joins Radford Athletics as a Communications Coordinator and will serve as the primary media contact for the women's basketball, women's soccer, cross country, track and field, and women's lacrosse programs. Perry brings several years of sports communications experience. He was the Communications Manager for the Nashville Sounds, the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, for two seasons (2023-24). Perry got his start in Nashville as a Communications Assistant in 2022.
 
Prior to his time with the Sounds, Perry was an Assistant Sports Information Director at Marian University in Indianapolis for the winter of 2021-22. He also interned with several minor league baseball teams, including the Gwinnett Stripers (2021) and Norfolk Tides (2020). While in college, he spent his summers as a video production team member for the Fort Wayne TinCaps. In 2019, Perry graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree in sports management from Butler.
 
Maldonado joins Radford Athletics for the 2025-26 season as a Communications Coordinator and will serve as the primary media contact for the baseball, men's soccer and men's golf programs while specializing in the Highlanders' digital media efforts. Previously, Maldonado had spent time interning with Radford's ESPN+ broadcast team under the direction of Yohe. Maldonado would branch out from the internship to start creating multimedia content for Radford's Men's and Women's Basketball, Softball, Lacrosse, Volleyball, and Baseball programs.
 
In the summer of 2025, Maldonado further developed his skills while volunteering with the Pulaski River Turtles, where he created multimedia content for the team's social media platforms. A transfer student from Virginia Western Community College, Maldonado joined Radford University as a junior in 2023. He earned his Associate's degree in business administration from Virginia Western in 2023 and graduated from Radford University in 2025 with a Bachelors in Sport Management and minor in Communications.
 
Yohe remains on board with the Highlanders entering his fourth season as the Director of Video and Creative Services. Yohe spearheads Radford's ESPN+ broadcasts for men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball and lacrosse. In those efforts, he writes, shoots and edits promotional content, maintains broadcast equipment, researches and writes broadcast storylines and manages a team of 20 student interns and freelancers.
 
On the day-to-day, Yohe also assists in Radford's digital media efforts creating social media content for all of Radford's 16 Division I programs. Prior to his time at Radford, he spent one season as the Director of Creative Services at Mercer and two seasons as Director of Live Production at UNC Asheville. In 2018, he graduated from Radford with his Bachelor's degree in media studies with a concentration in production technology.
