RADFORD, Va. – The Radford men's and women's track & field programs announced the 2025-26 indoor schedule on Monday. It's the first season that Radford men's track & field will compete as a team since 2014.
The season begins in just a few weeks, with the Highlanders competing in the Liberty Kick Off at Liberty University on December 4-5.
After a holiday break, the Highlanders will have a host of competitions through January and February. The run begins at the Tryon Collegiate in Mill Spring, N.C., from January 16-17, at a brand-new indoor facility hosted by Tryon International.
Radford visits nearby Virginia Tech for three events, including the Hokie Invitational (Jan. 23-24), Doc Hale Invitational (Feb. 6-7), and the Virginia Tech Challenge (Feb. 20-21). They'll also visit Roanoke College for the Bast Cregger Invitational (Jan. 30-31) and return to Liberty for the Darius Dixon Invitational (Feb. 13-14).
The indoor season wraps up with the Big South Indoor Championships on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28 at the Tryon International indoor track facility. The NCAA Indoor Championships will be hosted at the University of Arkansas from March 13-14.
SAYERS SAYS
"We are really excited for the track season," explained Director of Track & Field and Cross Country
Shelli Sayers. "We believe we have one of the best overall team in school history from the field to the distance events. Our schedule will challenge point scorers while providing opportunities for student-athletes wanting to contribute to the team at the conference champs. This season kicks off the re-instated men's program and our men are so ready to compete. This is special in different ways for our seniors down to the freshmen. We cannot wait to have them on the same schedule and with similar goals to their female teammates."
