Radford's Postseason Ambitions Cut Short in Loss to Presbyterian

Clinton, S.C. – The Radford Men's Soccer program fell short in a 3-1 loss on Wednesday in the first round of the Big South Tournament to Presbyterian, ending their 2025 campaign.

PLAY BY PLAY

Both Radford and Presbyterian had strong starts in the beginning of the game. Presbyterian came out in the match looking to be physical with seven of the first eight fouls coming against them. Then in the 26th minute, Presbyterian struck first with the first goal.

In the closing minutes of the half Radford would have an opportunity, led by Iwai controlling the ball off a blocked shot and continuing to score the equalizer in the 41st minute. Both teams went into the break tied at 1-1.

Things were level until the 85th minute, as the Blue Hose went on to score the game winning goal. Presbyterian added another tally a few moments later to advance into the Big South semifinals 3-1.
