PLAY BY PLAY
In the opening minutes, it was a back-and-forth affair between the two squads as Radford had a response for each of Shenandoah's early makes. Jones started the scoring at the free throw line, while Walls lined up his first three of the day for the 4-3 advantage. The Hornets responded, and held brief leads up to the 15-minute mark.

A driving make from Jones made it 10-9 Radford, a lead that would hold the rest of the way. Mari Jordan, Brennan Rigsby Jr. and Erichsen would all score to extend the run to 8-0 Radford and an eventual 19-14 lead with 9:31 left in the half. Shenandoah would fall into a massive scoring drought, allowing Radford to sprint ahead for a massive halftime advantage.

Ferreira began the run with four points down low with a pair coming off second chance. Jones and Parker Jr. stayed hot, supplying 16 of Radford's 23 unanswered points. Shenandoah broke the ice with just 13 seconds left in the half, a nine-minute-long scoring drought, but it was Radford who held the 42-17 lead.

Radford kept rolling into the second half as Jones and Tyson Brown combined for six unanswered in the first two minutes. After Jones added a pair of more jumpers to cap his day at 18 points, Shenandoah went on their longest run of the day 12-0. Radford stuck ahead 52-31 as fresh legs would help close out the game for the Highlanders.

Nine straight points came from Ferreira, Warren Keel Jr. and Erichsen to give Radford back its more commanding lead. With seven minutes to go, Ferreira and Erichsen combined all seven points in a 7-2 run by the Highlanders to push ahead 72-38. Louie Jordan came alive from deep, hitting a trio of threes to give Radford the 83-42 advantage.

Ferreira would add one more bucket to his career day before the final buzzer and it was Bradley Land who put a bow on the game with the final made shot. Radford closed nonconference strong, defeating Shenandoah 87-44.
