Baseball downed by Akron in rubber match

RADFORD, Va. – It was another crazy day for the Radford baseball program as the Highlanders had to battle through a city-wide power outage, high winds and eventually snow as they looked to finish off their season-opening series against Akron inside Sherman Carter Memorial Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Despite the power outage in the city, the Zips didn't lose any of their zap with a 17-4 decision to claim the win in the rubber match to seal the series.
