RADFORD, Va. – The Radford men's basketball program ended the regular season on a high note and celebrated Senior Day in style as the Highlanders knocked off Charleston Southern by a convincing 76-60 fashion in a Big South showdown inside the Dedmon Center on Saturday.
With the win, Radford finished the 2024-25 campaign at 19-12 overall and 9-7 in conference play. The Highlanders are locked into the number four seed for the upcoming Big South Tournament and will take on Presbyterian on Friday, March 7 at 2:30 PM ET in front of a national audience on ESPN+.
The game was never in doubt for the Highlanders as the contest featured just two lead changes and two times the game was tied, all of which took place in the first seven minutes. With a slight 10-9 lead with 13:01 left in the opening half, Radford went on a 30-19 run to close out the opening 20 minutes to take a 40-29 lead into the locker room.
It was more of the same in the second half. The Highlanders did not allow the Buccaneers to get closer than 11 points and that took place right away at the 19:14 mark. Radford kept the foot on the gas the rest of the way and cruised to the 16-point, 76-60 victory.
