HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game looked like a pitcher's duel through the first four innings as only one run crossed the plate between the two squads.
- High Point got the only run over this stretch in the top of the third to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Panthers then went off for five runs in the top of the fifth to extend their advantage to 6-0.
- High Point started to pull away with two more runs in the top of the seventh to make it 8-0.
- Radford wasn't going down without a fight and answered with three runs of its own in the bottom half of the frame to pull back in at 8-3. Nace hit a RBI triple to center, followed by a Ward RBI single to right to make it a ball game once again.
- The Panthers responded with a six-run top of the eighth to seal the run-rule victory.
