PLAY BY PLAY
Radford began Saturday's contest strong defensively and offensively. LaManna recorded back-to-back saves in the opening minutes to set the team up for an early lead. At the 11:32 mark, Madison Driscoll scored the first goal of the day to put the team ahead 1-0.

The Runnin' Bulldogs found an equalizer, but Evie Gee would put Radford back ahead 2-1. Hannah Hanger scored one more goal for Radford in the opening quarter to lead 3-2 through 15 minutes.

The Highlanders' offense stalled out in the second quarter, however, as Gardner-Webb was able to take a commanding lead with a 6-0 run spanning all the way to halftime. Now behind 8-3, Radford regrouped at the half to mount a comeback.

Gee began that rally with her second goal of the day 30 seconds into the third quarter. After Gardner-Webb briefly went ahead 9-4, Radford went on their longest scoring run of the day to tighten the match.

With 9:54 left in the third, Cheney kicked off the rally with her first goal of the afternoon. O'Brien followed her with back-to-back scores that pulled Radford within two. Down a man, Piper Galbraith scored to pull Radford to down just one at 9-8 with 3:41 left in the third.

Gardner-Webb would score three unanswered over the final three minutes of the third to reestablish their lead at 12-8. Radford's defense clamped down in the fourth only allowing one goal the rest of the way. Goals form Cheney and Kaitlyn Lytton wouldn't be enough as the Highlanders ultimately fell 13-10.
