RADFORD, Va. – The Radford baseball program dropped its twin bill to close out the three-game series against Charleston Southern in a Big South clash inside Sherman Carter Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

GAME ONE BREAKDOWN
- Both
Jhonkeanu Perez and
Tyler Kehoe posted multi-hit efforts in the opener.
- Perez recorded a 2-for-4 game with two runs scored and a stolen base while Kehoe also added a 2-for-4 showing that included a triple and a run.

Breckin Nace finished with a team best two RBI off a 1-for-4 opening contest at the dish.

Noah Toole came around to score twice with a 1-for-3 showing. He also drew a walk and finished with one steal.

Hunter Keen and
James Ward added a run batted in, respectively.

Eli Hudgins (1-for-4, one double) and
Tyler Sparrer (1-for-4) rounded out the Highlander offense with a base knock apiece.
- Radford jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with a run off of a balk in the bottom of the second.
- Charleston Southern knotted things with a run of its own in the top of the third to make it a 1-1 game.
- The Highlanders answered right back in the bottom half of the frame off runs batted in by Nace and Ward to jump back ahead 3-1.
- The Buccaneers tied things once again with two more runs in the top of the fourth as the two squads found themselves in a 3-3 deadlock.
- Radford took the advantage in the bottom of the fifth with two additional runs. Keen and Nace teamed up with one RBI apiece to put the Highlanders back ahead, 5-3.
- Charleston Southern saved its best for last with two runs in the top of the eighth and another four in the ninth to escape with the 9-5 win.
GAME TWO BREAKDOWN

Jhonkeanu Perez posted another multi-hit outing with an identical 2-for-4 showing at the dish. His second game included a double, one run scored and a base on balls.

Tyler Kehoe made it two Highlanders with multi-hit contests off a 2-for-4 effort with one RBI and a walk.

James Ward finished with a team high two runs scored off a 1-for-4 finale. He also chipped in a RBI off a solo home run in the seventh inning.

Eli Hudgins too drove in a run to go with a run scored, a stolen base and a walk. He went 1-for-4 at the plate.

Tyler Sparrer paced Radford with two RBI. He finished a perfect 1-for-1 with a base on balls.

Hunter Keen (1-for-5) and
Breckin Nace (1-for-3, one run) also recorded hits in the finale.
- The Buccaneers dropped four runs in the top of the fourth, but the Highlanders responded right back with three runs in the bottom half of the frame to make it a 4-3 game after one. Despite the scoring, the two sides combined for just one hit in the opening inning.
- Charleston Southern added to its edge with another run in the top of the second to push ahead 5-3.
- Radford made it a game with a Sparrer RBI single in the bottom of the third as the contest sat at 5-4 heading into the fourth.
- The Buccaneers went off for a five-run top of the fourth to start to pull away at 10-4.
- The Highlanders pushed another run across in the bottom of the seventh, but CSU followed it up with a two-run top of the eighth to seal the 12-5 win.

It's right back to the diamond for Radford as the Highlanders host East Tennessee State on Tuesday, April 8 at Sherman Carter Memorial Stadium. First pitch is set for 5 PM ET and the contest will be played in front of a national audience on ESPN+.
