PLAY BY PLAY
It was a fast-paced game from the jump as two of the most efficient offenses in the conference were on display. Radford scored the first seven straight points as Jones, Parker Jr. and Walls all checked in with buckets early. High Point's offense struck back quick, briefly taking a lead before a Johnson triple vaulted Radford back up 12-10.

Erichsen scored six straight of his own to keep Radford's offense on pace with High Point. Down 24-21, Radford broke out again as Parker Jr. and Walls hit back-to-back threes followed by two straight layups from Jones. Back ahead 31-25, Radford added on as Jones sunk an and-one with another driving make from Parker Jr. to make it a 36-27 Radford lead.

The Panthers didn't back off, tightening the margin back to four points before another big run by Radford to close the half. A four-point play came from Johnson who was fouled on a three-point try while Tyson Brown added his first points. That gave Radford its biggest lead of the half, 44-34 with two minutes remaining.

The Panthers rattled off eight straight points to once again tighten the game, but Radford ensured the half ended in their favor thanks to some quick thinking. After a Walls driving make, he create a turnover by the Panthers to immediately give Radford one last look before the buzzer. Jones hit the step back from deep inside the arc, capping a 48-42 lead for the Highlanders at halftime.

Out of the break, High Point kicked it into gear immediately with a 16-3 run that put them back in front 58-51. Walls hit a three pointer to get Radford back in order on the offensive end, but High Point had answers at each Radford basket to maintain a seven-point lead through to about six minutes remaining in the game.

The Highlanders didn't back down and mounted a valiant comeback attempt over the final five minutes of play. Down 85-74, Parker Jr. hit two free throws and off the inbound Jones snatched a pass and found Johnson for a big three that made it a two-possession game. High Point struggled at the line for the first time all night, and Radford took advantage to pull closer at 86-81.
