Erichsen Earns Second Straight Freshman of the Week Award

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Monday afternoon that Frederik Erichsen has been named the Freshman of the Week for the second straight week after another pair of solid performances in two tough games.

The reigning freshman of the week didn't miss a beat, averaging eight points per game in two tough battles at Winthrop and at home against High Point. Erichsen did most of his work this week in a quick turnaround against the Panthers, coming off the bench to score 11 points on a limited shooting performance with just five takes from the floor.

The weekly award is the fifth for the Highlanders this season and the second total for Erichsen. The freshman is joined by teammates Dennis Parker Jr. and Del Jones who earned a combined three Player of the Week awards earlier this season. The five weekly awards are the most earned by the Highlanders since the team took home seven during the 2022-23 season.

Radford is currently preparing for a week of road games as they cross the midway point of Big South play. The Highlanders will look to bounce back when they visit Charleston Southern on Thursday, January 29th for a 7 p.m. tip on ESPN+.
