Merrimack got their spring break started with a bang, scoring three times in the first four minutes of action. Ashlyn Bell took a nice pass from Molly O'Brien and fired a shot that found nylon to answer the Merrimack three-spot. The Warriors dominated the rest of the first quarter and early second, building up a 10-1 lead.

Cheney and Driscoll teamed up to put a stop to the Warriors run, but they answered after taking the draw control to make it 11-2 with 11:10 left in the first half. Driscoll then scored her first of three goals to make it 11-3. Merrimack got ahead by 10 before Driscoll forced and scored on a turnover with 1:33 left before the break.
