RADFORD, Va. – The Radford volleyball program and head coach Savanna Hammond announced Monday morning that Jacob Craig will be joining the team as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2026 Fall season.
Â
Craig joins the Highlanders after spending last season as the interim men's volleyball head coach at Lincoln Memorial. With the Railsplitters, he guided the program to a 17-6 record and Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (IVA) regular season championship and eighth consecutive conference tournament title. Three players earned all-conference selections as well as Setter of the Year and Player of the Year.
Â
In the year prior, Craig was assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Lincoln Memorial's men's volleyball squad and helped guide the team to a 24-1 record, regular season championship and tournament championship. The Railsplitters held opponents to an NCAA best hitting percentage with six all-conference selections and two all-Americans.
Â
Leading up to his time at Lincoln Memorial, Craig saw multiple coaching stops with the West Virginia Galaxy Volleyball Club, West Virginia State and University of Charleston. Through those jobs he gained experience instructing players, developing practice plans, and tracked multiple statistics. He graduated from the University of Charleston with his bachelor's degree in sports management, where he was also a student-athlete on the men's volleyball team, in 2024.
