2012 Highlights
Played in 57 of 58 games – only freshman to play every day for Radford and became one of three players in school history to play in 57 games in a season … Batted in the No. 9 spot in the order 39 times and became a full-time second baseman after hitting in the DH slot in his first seven games … Hit .319 with a .407 on-base percentage in 24 Big South games ... Collected a career-high three hits four times (vs. La Salle – 3/7; at High Point – 4/7; at Campbell – 5/12; vs. Liberty – 5/17) … Posted nine sacrifice hits, most on the team and the fourth-highest single season total in program history … Drove in nine runs over a seven game early-season stretch (Feb. 22-March 3) … Made his first position start at 2B at Liberty (Feb. 22) ... knocked in his first career run on a two-out double in the sixth of that game ... Hit a two-run single in the fourth inning of the win over Georgia Southern (Feb. 26) ... Had a career-high 3 hits (3-for-5) in the second series game vs. La Salle (March 7) ... Had five hits and scored five times in the Bryant series (March 9-10) ... Used a squeeze bunt in the third inning to get RU on the board at Virginia Tech (March 13) ... Knocked in the winning run on a groundout in the eighth inning in the series finale win over Marist (March 18) … Had the game-winning single in the bottom of the 14th inning in the finale against UNC Asheville (March 25) … Hit .345 in the month of May, scored a team-high 211 runs and had a .441 on-base percentage … Went 3-for-10 in the Big South Tournament with a team-high four RBIs – knocked in two runs each vs. Gardner-Webb (May 22) and Coastal Carolina (May 23) ...
