Lucas Mason is in his fourth year as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Radford after joining in February 2017.
In his role, Mason programs and implements comprehensive strength and conditioning protocols while coaching and monitoring student-athletes during workouts. He also works with injured athletes on training sessions and supervises the strength and conditioning interns.
Mason is no stranger to Radford’s strength and conditioning program, having previously served as a graduate assistant during the 2016-17 season and an intern during the 2015-16 season. He also previously worked as a personal trainer for the Peters Hall Faculty and Staff Wellness Center at Radford.
Mason is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), as recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and has additional certification from USA Weightlifting and the Basic Olympic Lifting Certification Totten Training Systems. He is also CPR and First Aid certified.
Mason earned his bachelor’s degree in strength and conditioning from Radford University in 2016 and has earned his master’s degree in strength and performance coaching from Southern Utah University.
