Marshall is in his second stint on the Mike Jones coaching staff and was promoted to assistant coach from his operations position heading into the 2014-15 season.

He returned to Radford in the 2013-14 season as director of operations after spending one season as an assistant coach and director of operations at the University of Southern California. He served as operations director at Radford during Jones' first season as head coach in 2011-12.

Marshall served as an assistant coach and eventually interim head coach at Colgate University from 2007-11, and he began his coaching career as an assistant at SUNY-Potsdam from 2006-07.

As a player, Marshall was a standout at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y.

He scored 1,442 points and grabbed 611 rebounds. He was a four-year letterwinner for the Saints and served as captain his final two seasons. Marshall was a two-time first-team All-Liberty League selection and was a first team NABC East All-District selection as a senior. In addition, he received St. Lawrence's Senior Male Athlete Award in 2005. In 2003 Marshall was the NCAA field goal percentage leader making 67.9 percent of his shots.

A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Marshall earned his bachelor's degree in religious studies from St. Lawrence in 2005.
