Matthew Borchlewicz

Matthew Borchlewicz begins his second year as the Assistant Director of Basketball Operations for Radford's men's and women's basketball squads.

The Middletown, Ohio native brings a wealth of experience in basketball operations, most recently as the video coordinator at the University of Richmond from 2010-12. While there, he supervised and managed all aspects of the film exchange program. Borchlewicz also coordinated the recruiting database and recruiting mail-outs, organized player workouts and practice schedules, assisted with summer camp preparation and management, team travel, official and unofficial visits, and day-to-day operations of the basketball office.

While working in Virginia's state capital, he received his master's degree in liberal arts with a focus on sports in western society.

Prior to his gig with the Spiders, Borchlewicz was a program assistant at Xavier University from 2008-10. While in Cincinnati, he coordinated recruiting visits, directed and organized student managers, provided logistic support to the coaches and administrative staff, and organized and maintained player practice stats for the Musketeers.

Before becoming a program assistant at the A-10 member institution, Borchlewicz served as a student manager while he was working toward two bachelor's degrees: sport management and organizational communication, with a minor in business, which he earned in 2010.

Since 2006, Borchlewicz has built quite an NCAA Tournament resume. While at Xavier, the men's basketball squad reached the Second Round (2007), the Sweet 16 (2008 and 2010) and the Elite Eight (2009). As the video coordinator with Richmond Men's Basketball, the Spiders made the Sweet 16 in 2011.
