Weston Strayer was hired in June 2016 as the Assistant Director of Basketball Operations for Radford men's basketball. He will directly work with all video operations, in addition to assisting the Director of Basketball Operations.
Prior to arriving in the New River Valley, Strayer was the assistant coach and junior varsity head coach for Lake Superior State men's basketball in Marie, Mich. In addition to his duties as a coach, he was the recruiting coordinator for the Lakers.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Strayer served as a student manager and graduate assistant for Ohio State from 2013-15. He specialized in film downloading and editing, and participated in all day-to-day activities with the elite Big Ten program.
The Buckeyes captured three Big Ten regular-season titles, three Big Ten tournament titles and one Final Four with Strayer on staff.
Strayer earned a B.S. in Business Administration from The Ohio State University in 2013 and a M.S. in Sports Management from OSU in 2014.
