2017 AS A FRESHMAN
Ran in all six races for the Highlanders in his debut season... Was the first Radford runner to cross the finish line in his first ever collegiate race, taking 12th with a time of 19:20.8 at the Hokie Invite... Earned a spot on Radford's NCAA Southeast Regional squad

Set a school record and became the 4A State Champion with a time of 4:14, which was also the third-fastest senior in Virginia in 2017, in the 1,600-meter run... also won the 2017 4A state championship for both the indoor and outdoor 4x800-meter relay... Placed fifth at the 4A Cross Country state championships with a PR time of 15:38... was named 2016 XC team and 2017 outdoor track MVP

Son of parents Leanne and Gary Fernandez... Has two brothers (Austin, Logan) and three sisters (Elise, Aubrey, Bethany)... plans to major in Secondary Education School Studies
