Marissa Yow is entering her second season as an assistant coach with Radford. Yow's role with the Highlanders has been as the team's hitting coach.
Yow returns to the Highlanders as a coach after spending three seasons playing for Radford between 2016 and 2018. Yow graduated from Radford in 2019 with a degree in psychology and minor in exercise science.
During her freshman year as a Highlander, Yow was one of four Highlanders, and the lone freshman, to start in all 61 games. At the start of the season she was the team's catcher before switching to third base. In 2016 Yow ranked fifth on the team with 26 RBIs and sixth with 42 hits. As a redshirt sophomore in 2018 she appeared in 49 games and started in 43 as the designated player. Yow batted .240 while tallying six doubles and two home runs. In her season debut she tallied three RBIs and a home run after missing the 2017 season due to injury.
