Nicole Segala joined the Radford University sports medicine staff in August of 2017 and works as the athletic trainer for Highlander women’s soccer and softball.
Before arriving at Radford, Segala spent two years as a graduate assistant at Virginia Tech. While in Blacksburg, she assisted with baseball and football along with men’s and women’s cross country and track and field.
Prior to her time at Virginia Tech the Williamsburg, Va., native was a resident assistant athletic trainer at Boston College from January 2015 to June 2015. She was the primary athletic trainer for softball, assisted with football and oversaw institutional and NCAA mandated drug testing in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Along with working numerous camps at the graduate and undergraduate level, Segala received a bachelor of science degree in athletic training at Longwood University in December 2014 and a masters of arts in education at Virginia Tech in May 2017. She was a member of the Longwood field hockey team for five years.
