Summer Robinson begins her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Radford softball team.
Robinson is familiar with the Highlander softball program as she played four years in a Radford uniform. She played in 212 games and started 207 during her career primarily in the outfield. Robinson had a .241 hitting percentage with 140 hits, 79 RBIs, 24 doubles and 16 home runs as a Highlander.
As a junior she had a season-high 45 hits, eight doubles, three triple, six home runs and tallied 30 RBIs. Robinson also hit .267 as a junior with a .448 slugging percentage.
The Chesapeake, Va., native graduated with a bachelor of science in health and human performance in December 2017.
