Jennifer Norton joined Radford as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in August 2018, earning a promotion to Associate Athletics Director for Sport Performance in April 2021.Â
Her primary sport responsibilities include baseball, softball, and both the women’s and men’s soccer programs. Throughout her time at Radford, she has also led the strength & conditioning program for men’s and women’s basketball, lacrosse, women’s tennis, and women’s golf.
Jennifer came to Radford after spending the previous four years at her alma mater, Florida Atlantic University. She began her stint at FAU as the Assistant Director of Strength & Conditioning in 2014 where she focused her attention on leading the women’s basketball, women’s soccer, indoor volleyball, softball, men’s soccer, women’s golf and men’s golf programs. She also played an integral role assisting with all facets of FAU’s Football program.
In January 2017, Jennifer earned a promotion to the Director of Strength & Conditioning for Olympic Sports, where she oversaw all day-to-day operations, including the FAU internship program and 18 varsity sports.

Prior to FAU, Norton was an Assistant Sport Performance Coach at Bradley University where she worked with indoor volleyball, men’s and women’s golf and men’s and women’s tennis. She also coordinated team scheduling and programming for 220+ athletes with the program’s director. Her stint at Bradley included three months as the Interim Assistant Director of Sport Performance, as well as the Assistant Women’s Golf Coach.
Norton was a five-year Division-I Student-Athlete at Florida Atlantic University in the sport of golf (2006-11), earning eight top-10 finishes.
While at FAU, she obtained her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion in May of 2010. She earned her Master's degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion-Strength and Conditioning in May 2012, also working as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Exercise Science.
Making the most of her time at FAU, Norton served as a volunteer strength and conditioning coach from August of 2011-13. She also served as the Women’s Assistant Golf Coach from 2012-13 and was an adjunct professor for the Department of Exercise Science in 2013.Â
