Greg Manos is entering his third season as the assistant volleyball coach at Radford.
Manos previously served as the associate head coach and previously an assistant coach at Chicago State University. While there he scouted opponents through VolleyMetrics, and led offseason training in preparation for the spring competition season. Manos led nationwide recruiting efforts in addition to hosting official and unofficial visits, coordinated team travel, directed Cougar camps and clinics. He also steered fundraising efforts, led the work team for a full TeraFlex court installation to be utilized in the Jones Convocation Center, as well as developed the 2017-2018 strength and conditioning program.
Manos aided the Cougars in achievements both on and off the court. Academically, the team's Academic Progress Rate through three seasons grew from 850 to 1,000 in the 2018-19 season. Manos guided the to a spot on the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Honor Roll in consecutive seasons, while upholding a team GPA of 3.7. On the court the Cougars improved their RPI ranking each season, won more Division I matches in four seasons than the program had in the previous 11 seasons, won five conference matches to surpass the previous conference all-time record, and defeated Rutgers in three set triumph in 2018 to mark the first BIG 10 victory in program history. Under the direction of Manos, the team also broke six individual season records and several individual career records while maintaining their longest winning streak. Manos coached Megan Klavitter to conference Libero of the Year, twice, and Josi Borum to the All-Freshman Team.
Prior to Chicago State, Manos was a senior search engine marketing specialist at Leapfrog Online and Publicis Groupe. His additional coaching experience include various summer camps at high schools, for club teams, Marquette University, Butler University, and Chicago State. Manos has also coached several club and high school teams since 2010.
Manos graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor of science in business in 2013. While at Indiana, Manos helped lead his team to a 2011 National Collegiate Volleyball Federation finals appearance.
