Alix Guynn is in her eighth year with Radford Athletics and first as the Associate AD for Student-Athlete Support Services. Guynn was promoted to her current role in August 2019.Â
Guynn is responsible for the operation of the Student-Athlete Support Services program, which include academic advising and career services.  In addition to managing and overseeing all operations of the student-athlete support services program, Guynn is the lead academic advisor for men's and women's basketball programs. She oversees the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and represents the athletics department on Radford University's AP Faculty Senate. Â
Guynn is the sport administrator for the women’s lacrosse program.  Additionally, she serves as the department liaison to many campus departments including, housing and residential life, career and talent development, and the center for accessibility services.Â
Guynn graduated from Catawba College in May 2011, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management. While at Catawba, she served as a manager for the men’s basketball team.  After graduation, Alix served as a Game Production and Entertainment Assistant for the Washington Redskins for the 2011 NFL season.Â
The Galax, Virginia native earned her master’s degree in Sport Management from West Virginia University in 2015.  She currently resides in Blacksburg, Virginia.Â
