Jon Zeitz rejoins the Radford Athletics department as the Director of Athletic Advancement & Revenue Generation beginning in August 2026.
Jon has been with Radford University in various roles over the past decade, with the last three (3) years as Associate Director of Advancement working with major gift donors from the Artis College of Science & Technology and College of Humanities & Behavioral Sciences. Jon previously worked with Radford Athletics as the General Manager of Radford Sports Properties through the multi-media rights partnership with Learfield IMG College beginning in July 2015. He served three years as a Senior Account Executive for Virginia Tech IMG Sports Marketing and three years as General Manager for IPFW with Nelligan Sports Marketing prior to that. Additionally, he served eight years as Director of Sales for the Tennessee Smokies Minor League Baseball organization.

Jon will oversee and manage the philanthropic side of athletic giving to the Highlander Club, individual sports funds, scholarships, and all other revenue generation efforts. His focus will also extend to the Radford Athletics corporate sponsorship effort in managing relationships to bolster long-term relationships with athletic partners and creating new programs to support the overall athletic department’s efforts. Â

He received a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Virginia Tech in 1995 and currently resides in Roanoke with his wife, Melanie.
