Radford University Athletics

Mark officially joined Radford University Student Counseling Services in August 2022. He received his master’s degree in clinical and mental health counseling from Radford University and has previously worked as a high school English teacher and as a group therapist for the drug court program at NRVCS. 

In his role at Radford, Mark provides mental health counseling for student athletes, couples counseling, and trauma therapy, while conducting intakes and crisis intervention.  He is trained in EMDR (trauma therapy) and adapts therapeutic treatment to effectively support diverse backgrounds and cultures. Mark strives to build meaningful relationships and create an environment where clients can be honest and seen. His clinical interests include family dynamics, athlete mental health, and trauma related concerns.

Mark lives in Radford with his wife and four kids. They love playing all kinds of sports, being outdoors, and attending Radford athletics events!
