A prolific power hitter and all-around incredible player for the Highlanders, the numbers speak for themselves in Alex Gregory's Highlander career. He owns program records for hits (272), home runs (38), on base percentage (.465), and became the first player in program and conference history to ever hit better than .400 in three straight seasons, paving the way to becoming the first player to ever win three Big South batting crowns. Gregory also ranks top-10 in program history for runs, RBI, walks, slugging, total bases, games, at bats, average, and doubles. He is one of just five players in program history to ever hit three home runs in a single game. The 2008 Scholar-Athlete of the Year was also a three-time all-conference member and was named to the Big South's 2000's all-decade team. At the end of his Radford career, he was drafted in the 17th round of the MLB Draft by the New York Mets becoming the 11th player to ever be drafted in program history.
