CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Monday afternoon that junior defender Jackson Boreham has earned the Big South Defender of the week award after his goal and defensive play helped earn a draw against first-place High Point in a 2-2 thriller this past week.
Â
Boreham notched his second goal of the season in the match, his first since the early weeks which was also a game-winner against James Madison. The goal proved pivotal and came at a time when the Highlanders were a man down after picking up an early red card. Boreham would then lead the defense for the remaining 60+ minutes of play allowing the Highlanders to earn a 2-2 tie against the Panthers. The point was Radford's first against High Point since 2015 and their first on the road facing the Panthers since 2014.
Â
This is the first Defensive Player of the Week award for the Highlanders this season. The last defensive award for Radford came back in October of 2025 as Ben Miller won it after a shutout against #23Â Garnder-Webb in a 0-0 draw at home.
UP NEXT
The regular season comes to a close as the Highlanders hit the road to take on Longwood on Friday, October 30th with plenty of postseason scenarios still in play. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
