FINAL SCORES
DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Radford men's golf recorded a final round 305 en route to a tie for seventh showing at the second annual Davidson Invitational Tuesday at River Run Country Club.
For the second consecutive tournament, freshman
Wade Wawner (Virginia Beach, Va. / Floyd E. Kellam) paced the Highlanders on the individual leaderboard finishing in a tie for 16th with a 54-hole total of 227 (75-73-79).
Paul Woodson (Powhatan, Va. / Powhatan) continued his consistent play to come home tied for 22nd with a final round score of four-over 76. Like Woodson,
Lane Hite (Clarksville, Va. / Bluestone) and
Kyle Bailey (Fincastle,Va. / James River) carded rounds of 76 this afternoon to place tied for 32nd and 43rd, respectively.
Freshman
Wes Eklund (Charlottesville, Va. / Albemarle) bounced back with a five-over 77 in round three to join Bailey in a tie for 43rd.
Despite shooting the second highest team total of the day, Liberty (896) claimed the team title with a two-day total of 896, which was two clear of Wofford (898)
Like the Flames, Wofford's Garret Medeiros (70-70-75 = 215) held on to his overnight lead to win individual medalists.
Radford will enjoy a two-week break before returning to the course at the Seascape Invitational Oct. 26-27 in Nags Head, N.C.
