CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Radford's doubles team of Zack Watson (Harrisonburg, Va. / Eastern Mennonite) and Ivan Salec (Oroslavje, Croatia / Oroslavje Secondary School) knocked off Virginia's duo of Sanam Singh and Steven Rooda 8-4 on day one of the UVa Ranked Plus One Invitational Friday.

Competing in the A-2 Doubles portion of the bracket, the Highlander tandem will meet the winner of the match between Virginia Tech's Beck/Jacqes and Tennessee's Cankic/Williams.

Virginia's Singh entered the match ranked ninth nationally in singles, while Salec and Rooda are currently ranked just outside the top 100.

Salec and Watson will also compete in the singles portion of the annual event.
